This system effectively reduces the flex and vibration caused by the heavy rotor magnet mounted at the end of the right-hand (RH) shaft. The weight of the rotor magnet generates significant centrifugal forces, leading to undesirable flex and vibration. To counteract this, an additional bearing is added to provide extra support, stabilizing the shaft and minimizing these vibrations.
By reducing vibrations, especially at speeds above 60 km/h, the system offers a smoother ride and lessens rider fatigue. The smoother operation also translates to reduced overall fatigue for the motorcycle, as lower vibrations help preserve the integrity of the bike's components. Additionally, the bearings experience less strain, leading to increased bearing life.
The reduction in vibrations further results in less crank oscillation, which minimizes cam wheel wear. This reduction in oscillation prevents excessive churning on the gears and allows for more consistent and precise cam backlash. Consequently, the system maintains optimal performance for a longer period, reducing the need for frequent maintenance and improving the longevity of the motorcycle's parts.
