This system effectively mitigates the flex and vibration caused by the heavy rotor magnet mounted at the end of the right-hand (RH) shaft. The heavy magnet generates significant centrifugal forces, which lead to undesirable flex and vibration in the shaft. To reduce these issues, an additional bearing is added to provide extra support, stabilising the shaft and minimising vibrations.
By reducing vibrations, particularly at speeds above 60 km/h, the system ensures a smoother ride and less rider fatigue. The reduction in vibrations not only improves comfort for the rider but also lessens the overall fatigue on the motorcycle, leading to longer-lasting components. With lower vibrations, the strain on critical components like bearings is reduced, leading to increased bearing life.
Furthermore, the system helps reduce cam wheel wear by minimising crank oscillation. This reduction in oscillation stops excessive churning on the gear and allows for more precise cam backlash, which can be maintained for longer periods, ensuring more consistent engine performance.
In addition to these mechanical benefits, the incorporation of NANO LUBE along with engine oil further enhances the system’s efficiency. The nano-lube is a high-performance lubricant that forms a protective layer on moving parts, reducing friction and wear. When combined with engine oil, the NANO LUBE improves lubrication throughout the engine and drivetrain, ensuring smoother operation, reduced vibration, and increased durability of critical components. This advanced lubrication solution provides superior protection, ensuring a longer lifespan for the bearings, cam wheel, and other key components while also enhancing the overall ride experience.
